The Guaranteed Price Plan rates are higher than traditional tuition, but guarantees a fixed cost of tuition and mandatory fees for twelve consecutive semesters providing the student remains an undergraduate resident of Texas. The traditional tuition and mandatory fees may change at the beginning of any semester.
It is a personal choice whether the student remains in the traditional program or elects the Guaranteed Price Plan. Both tuition and mandatory fee rates (traditional and Guaranteed Price Plan) are provided below for your information.
Please note that housing and meal plans are not included in this plan and may change whether the student elects the Guaranteed Price Plan or remains in the traditional plan.
A student’s financial aid will not automatically be repackaged if the Guaranteed Price Plan is elected. Students may pursue additional awards with the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarship as needed.
The Guaranteed Price Plan is not automatic. The student must take affirmative action to elect the plan. A student may opt-in to the plan at the beginning of their first term. If no action is taken by the 12th class day, the student remains on the traditional plan and may not opt-in at a future date. If you have already paid and been confirmed for the term and wish to participate in the plan, please contact TXST One Stop to obtain the GPP Opt-in form.
A student may opt-out of the plan via a paper form in any future semester. However, if the student opts-out, he/she will not be allowed back in the plan at a future date. Contact TXST One Stop to obtain the GPP Opt-out form.
